Jaybird’s gig on Saturday in Crozet was a lot of fun. The Mudhouse is a great coffeehouse with tremendous character. It is edgy and classy at the same time, as suggested by their logo, which seems to be a gargoyle-sque mountain lion with wings. The Crozet Mudhouse does all baking in-house. I had a fantastic gingerbread person with a noticeable bite of ginger, which is certainly not always the case. The sound system is amazing. The sound is clear and saturating, but not obnoxiously loud. It’s a great place, in short, to get some coffee and baked goods and settle down into a luxurious leather armchair. I have some pictures, but I can’t find the cord in our chaos at the moment.
I thought I’d share a poster I made for the occasion. Collage is one of my favorite forms of creativity.
