SUNDAY FUN-DAY! Yay!

Wait. It’s Tuesday…

Well, yes, but a couple of days ago it was Sunday. And, for the time being, my good friend Katie and I have decided to institute Sunday Fun-Days. Why? Because, quite frankly Sunday is often not fun (Sunday funk, anyone?). We’ll fill each day with creating lovely, strange, and curious things. This gives us dedicated time for creating (vs. thrifting, our other favorite past-time) and make Sundays fun!

Our first Sunday Fun-Day was at Katie’s house. As a reminder, give credit where credit is due, and please don’t engage in any copyright infringement.

Here’s what Katie made:

Dinosaur skeleton drawings!

Aren’t they great? Katie is an amazing artist and does a lot of work with ceramics and sculpture, as well as installation pieces. Here’s her website; it’s definitely worth checking out!

Here’s what I made:

I finally painted some bread dough (white bread and glue) ornaments I made in February.

I’m planning on using the clay horse skull as part of the Halloween decor. I had intended to paint flowers on it, but sometimes I’m reluctant to add to something with which I am already pleased.

A little bluebird. How “tweet.”

A painted elephant! A pink elephant! I really had no clue what I wanted to do, so I did it all! Seriously, I made these ornaments in February and no longer have a clue regarding my original intent for them.

Is it a snake? A lizard? A velociraptor? Only time will tell. He’s not done yet!

More Halloween fun. Woof woof!
